•Identify the cardinal cognitive, affective, and behavioral features of vaginismus and be able to characterize the typical symptom presentation. •Understand the essential elements of psychological assessment and diagnosis of this condition. •Explain the etiology of this disorder and characterize how both fear and avoidance symptoms maintain this condition using the fear-avoidance model. •Develop an understanding of common couple dynamics associated with vaginismus.
