Symposium on Optimizing Physical Performance

The Optimizing Physical Performance symposium is an online, half-day program ​that is aimed at connecting scientists working in the field of optimizing physical performance, while at the same time educating those who benefit from this knowledge. Topics of discussion include the biology of performance (with presentations on the effects of biomechanics, thermoregulation, circadian rhythms, and sleep on physical performance) and the implementation of performance optimization efforts (with talks addressing sports psychology, injury prevention and health performance). Olympic Silver Medalist Alexander Massialas will provide insight to what life as a professional athlete is like.
